DESCRIPTION:
Complete and with their original black enamel sprayed surfaces. There are no weld breaks anywhere on the square stock steel wire used to fashion this twin pair of absolutely gorgeous hanging
Modernist 'cone' plant hangers,
ready for a hanging fern or plant of your choice and which could be stuffed with dry sphagnum moss or simply accepting your choice cacti or meandering fern in their ready-made pots. Whatever you decide to put in them or however you decide to fashion them and make them work, this symmetrical and identical twin set would be a wonderful interior or exterior addition to the sides of a garage door, front entry door, patio slider or perhaps on each side of a stone fireplace. Great Modernist sensibility and a nearly architecturally realized, drawn, rendered set of flour levitating circles, suspended by horizontal steel wire, conjoined to vertical wires, descending into a base circle, forming suspended, inverted cones. Their black, flat linked chains are also original to the hanging planters, as are their black, enclosed, circular hanging rings. In wonderful vintage condition, with only very minor episodes of surface oxidation (indicating they were most likely previously displayed indoors) and with simply fantastic Modernist, vintage decorative appeal. Estate fresh and fresh to the marketplace. Discovered in southern New Hampshire. Magnificent.
CONDITION:
Very Good to Excellent overall vintage condition.
